The Artist

Frank Chan is a Hong Kong–based fine art photographer and banking executive, living in one of the world’s most fast-paced and high-pressure cities, Hong Kong. A career built on precision and decisive action contrasts with an artistic vision drawn to tranquil imagery, stillness, and symmetry. These qualities have become recurring elements throughout his work, offering a counterbalance to the relentless pace of urban life.

Specializing in panoramic long exposure photography, Chan reimagines iconic urban and natural landscapes through an architectural sensibility and a pursuit of calm. Each work is captured using a medium format Hasselblad system for exceptional depth, tonal range, and detail, then produced as a museum-grade archival print in a limited edition of eight, signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

His ongoing series, Icon, is his most developed body of work, capturing celebrated landmarks across the world. From the dawn stillness of Victoria Harbor to the mist-covered islands of Lake Toya, Chan transforms scenes alive with movement into immersive moments of quiet grandeur.

Before focusing on fine art, Chan worked with one of Hong Kong’s top five wedding photography studios, founded and led a newborn photography studio ranked among the city’s top ten, and established a commercial photography studio serving internationally recognized lifestyle, fashion, and hospitality brands with global reach and reputation.
