Icon is a global series of panoramic photographs that reimagine the world’s most celebrated urban and natural landmarks through Frank Chan’s distinctive vision. Captured with long exposure and rendered in atmospheric color, each work transforms destinations alive with movement into immersive landscapes of stillness.
From the dawn hush of Victoria Harbor to the serene expanse of Lake Toya, familiar scenes are distilled into moments of quiet grandeur, inviting viewers into a state of contemplation. Rooted in an architectural sensibility and a pursuit of tranquility, the series embraces horizon-wide compositions that evoke scale, symmetry, and the poetry of light.
Each piece is photographed using a medium format Hasselblad system, ensuring exceptional depth, tonal texture, and detail. Limited to an edition of eight, every print is signed, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, and produced to museum-grade standards using archival pigment printing on fine art paper. Designed for large-format presentation, each work preserves the intricate nuances and tonal richness of the original capture.
