About Interlude
Between the major works, there are images that ask to be kept. Interludes gathers what is seen in passing: a reading room at midday, a facade in hard sun, light crossing a lawn. These works stand outside the formal series, held to no thesis but attention itself. Smaller in scale and closer at hand, they are the pauses between movements, where the music rests.
